I finished secondary school in Yenagoa. Started a BA in History & International Studies at Delta State University.

Graduated with a Second Class Upper. Spent the next stretch doing what most History grads do: trying to figure out what a History degree is actually for. The answer, in my case, was writing.

Started picking up writing & media work - Wave FM (production internship during service), then marketing & content contracts at Uptrend Africa (Lagos-based global marketing agency for crypto companies), Quidax, and WIDO (one-click infra for DeFi).

Joined AFEN Blockchain Group as a digital content writer. African crypto company.
Two products: An NFT marketplace called NftyTribe and a crypto education platform called BloomONE. My job was to make people care about both.
Deep industry experience and network curated over time in this role, both in the African crypto space and amongst builders across ecosystems.

Four promotions in two years at AFEN. Content writer → Corporate Comms Manager → Team Lead → Acting Growth Lead.
Designed and ran go-to-market for both flagship products, supervised the content team, and managed PR through product launches and a funding round.

Joined blocmates as Technical Marketing Executive across editorial and marketing.
100+ long-form articles since & background work with a long tail of protocols and sector deep-dives. Contributed to ~15,000 monthly site visits and a 245% traffic increase in Q1 2026.

Three years later, still enjoying it, building the future of new media across frontier tech! Absolutely proud to be doing great work here.
